Comm-Unity Love Through Action: Reaching Out & Lifing Up
Compassionate Louisville is individuals and organizations who's vision is a community and world becoming more and more compassionate. The mission is to champion and nurture the growth of compassion. We ask: "What does compassion want for Louisville?" We strive to make Louisville the most compassion city in the world! Not only has Mayor Greg Fischer declared Louisville the most compassionate city, but Louisville has been named the model Compassionate City in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
The Prosperous Life
Unity of Louisville celebrates The Prosperous Life by participating in a year-long program to support you in living a more abundant life by practicing the spiritual law that says, "The good you share with others must return to you multiplied."
Through our Total Prosperious Living Program we are committed to standing in Truth Prinicples, offering classes, workshops, Sunday Lessons and Social Action opportuinites for each person in our community. The community is invested and committed to Unity of Louisville, Inc. by being committed givers through automatic or specified tithing. We do this by tithing our time, talent and treasures to the following agencies, in addition to our regular tithes to Unity Worldwide Ministries, Silent Unity and others as we are spiritually fed.
Originally founded as a homeless shelter in 1989, The Healing Place currently operates three substance abuse treatment and recovery centers. Its campus for women and children, based in Louisville, Ky., runs a multi-phase, residential program at no cost to its participants.
Our mission is to reach men and women suffering from drug and alcohol addiction, provide the tools for recovery, and restore productive lives. Our worth is in providing care for the homeless and addicted. Our passion is restoring productive lives through innovative recovery programs. Our conviction is to serve more homeless across the country and around the world.
