Coming in March 2026…The First and only appearance in the USA to date

Project 80's: The Lamp of Peace program- A Weekend of Interfaith/Multi-

Cultural Peacemaking Activities in Louisville

Presented by Unity of Louisville and hosted at HCM.

Lamp of Peace participants will experience a multitude of ways to spread peace and harmony that will be shared by peacemakers from around the Globe, Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Highlights include:

* Piping in of the Lamp of Peace at 3 main events

* A Breakfast for Military Veterans /Armed Forces

* Reiki

* Meditation

* Oneness Blessing

* A Peace Walk

* Coffee, tea, dessert with a Special Speaker (TBA)

* A Concert for Peace 

* A Closing Ceremony

Ticket prices will range from $25 to $100 and proceeds will go to the ongoing efforts for Peace at Unity of Louisville and Highland Community Ministries. 

 

The actual physical Lamp of Peace that will be present several times during the weekend is a symbol representing the “light of peace' that emerged from the darkness of WW II. Our International guests are: The Right Honorable Lady Jane MacRae (Scotland) who will be the honored bagpiper, piping in and out the Lamp of Peace. Matt Seaward (founder of Project 80- England) and David Ackroyd (Barnsley College Principal - England) will also be attending.

A Taste of the Highlands 2026

Join Highlands Community Ministries for A Taste of the Highlands, a Mardi Gras–inspired tasting event featuring bites from local restaurants, along with local beer, wine, and spirits, plus live jazz.

Tuesday, February 17, 2026

5:30PM to 7:30PM

Entry includes unlimited tastings of: 

-Dishes from local restaurants

-Beer from Mile Wide Brewing

-Old Louisville Brewery

-Awry Brewing

-Wine from Morris Deli & Liquor

-Bourbon cocktails from Limestone Branch Distillery

-Live jazz by Billy Goat Strut Revue

Tickets are $60 General Admission or $75 VIP (includes a bourbon tasting).
Proceeds support HCM's food pantry, senior services, and emergency assistance programs.
